Clear Float Glass has excellent characteristics of surface finishing, flatness, uniform thickness, optical quality and a bright appearance.
Float glass derives it name from the Float process used where the molten glass floats on the top of molten tin. The float process was developed in the late 1950’s and to date this is the default glass technology in the modern glass industry.
Clear float glass is a commonly used glass and is also the base material for mirrors, painted, translucent or coated glass. May be tempered, heatsoaked or heat strengthened.
